In 1962, prayer was removed from American education and the following statistics show what has happened to our nation as a result:
SAT Total Scores Have Dropped:

o From 1962 1993 the violent crime rate increased from 250,000 to 1,900,000 offenses per year. That is an increase of 1,650,000 offenses over that 30 year period with an average increase of 55,000 offenses per year.

These statistics show that if God is not central to the educational process, the students self-destruct and never become leaders in their communities, nations or world, never fulfilling their destinies. Christian education must ensure that biblical principles, prayer and the voice of God are central to each and every course.
Prayer is just one example of how the American education system has moved away from God, even against God. In our countries history, the Bible used to be one of, if not the, primary books used in our children's education. The Bible was used for reading as well to teach our children morals and to teach our children about God. Now, the use of the name of Jesus in a classroom can lead to a teacher being disciplined or fired and has even lead to disciplinary action against students.
The only hope of America is for Christ-centered leaders to be trained and to rise to positions of influence throughout society. Many of the signers of our Constitution were ordained ministers. Once again, ministers must take the lead in our culture. All our students will have the opportunity to be ordained and to function in their ministry/vocation as ordained ministers.
